Professor Ramamurthy's lectures are extremely heavy, Powerpoint driven, covering a lot of ground, so you will need to study a lot for the exams. However, she is accessible by email for questions. Labs were challenging but fun. She grades on attendance and demands participation. Not a bad choice for 2436.
Jul 10th, 2014. Textbook: Yes. Good prof. Three exams, hw, and no final. Hw was just about daily, will post around noon and it will be due next morning but expected for summer sessions. Each exam was 25% + 25% for hw. His summer course only consisted of writing 2 case studies reflections a week (2-pages each), 3 quizzes total that were open-book, and 1 research paper (7 pages). The prof speaks clearly in his lectures and his lectures are heavy in information. The textbook is good I guess but all textbooks are boring. Ahead of the due date of the first essay, he gave tons of tips for paper writing via a recorded video. The lab portion is chill as well, the TAs are nice and encourage participation.
